Taupe or a beautiful subtle gold color may be beautiful. A soft brown or beige with gold jewelry could be nice. Blue is nice as well, but pale blue. I like maroon as well.

I too am fair with freckles, dark hair and light eyes. I reccomend going with maybe a brown (it's really in right now and they're are alot of brown formals in stores). Or a green that matches your eyes. Other colors I would reccomend to try are aqua/bluegreen, maroon shades and maybe a gold/yellow color.
