Tomorrow I'm going to a school dance (not formal though) how should I dress?

I'm definately not one of the slutty girls and I don't need to wear less clothing to look attractive. They have these dances and it's sort of night club-ish if you think about it.

Should I wear my hair up or down?

Should I wear a skirt, shorts, jeans, etc...?

A tank top, short sleeves, long sleeves, hoodie...etc..?

I'm in 8th grade if that helps.

It's my first time going to one of these so I really don't know what other people wear their but I here to not wear a skirt....boys are pigs at my school....

Fitted jeans and a cute, colored shirt, depending on the weather, you could wear a tank top or t shirt.

Well I'm in ninth grade, if that helps, and ppl usually wear dressy jeans and a nice shirt. Wear your hair up if u plan on bustin' a move in the middle of the dance floor, but since guys and girls dont usually dance at dances, dont spend ur life on a fancy outfit or ur hair.

Ah, I'm grade 8 too, and we just had one. It depends on where you live on weather you should wear jeans and suchs. Hair down, T-shirt, JEAN Capri's, flip-flops.

and not to much make-up, natural looking.

omg, my area has a dance like evry friday, and i've been going to 'em since 6th grade (even when i wasn't allowed, lol). usually ppl just straighten hair and leave it down, but bring a hair tie in ur purse and you can fix it to a half-up ponytail in the bathroom if you like. usually it's just a denim (slightly frayed) skirt or jeans and a cute shirt. you can add leggings underneath the skirt if u like that style (personally, i wouldn't, plus it's going out neway). flip-flops or cute flats are prolly ur best bet for footwear. on makeup, slightly tintted lip gloss and possibly eyeliner. if ur going for light, only apply to the top eyelids.
