How would you do your hair if it was long and straight for a formal ball?

The dress is long, black, and a halter. On the back it has 4 to 6 inches of netting which is covered by rinestones. My hair if completely down covers the rinestones. I do not have money for a professional updo. Tips Please.

a long silky straight ponytail could be really sophisticated! justs make sure it is on the mid to high range on your head, and wrap a piece of hair around the ponytail holder. you can put a tiara or headband in your hair to make it look more formal. just make sure it's all slicked back on the top (no whispy hairs falling in your face).

I have really long and straight hair and definitely no money for a professional. I just had it put into a ponytail and then took the hair and I scrunched it into a kind of a bun and then took a small crown/tiara thing to spice it up.

Long black dresses look better with long straight hair. Just put it in a very neat ponytail, but make the ponytail high to look more elegant.
