of people of different races and asked questions about them? I noticed that the woman showed a picture of a white woman and a black woman and asked which one was the "princess". All the kids said that the white woman was the princess but she was dressed in a formal dress with her hair up like she was going to prom and her picture was taken in a studio. The picture of the black woman was taken outdoors, she was wearing a collar shirt that was sort of business casual and she was barely smiling, almost like she was squinting from the sun.
Another set of people they showed was of two older gentlemen and asked who would be president. The kids said the white man but the white man was wearing a dark suit and tie and the black man was wearing a sport coat, no tie and the top button of his shirt was open.
Do you think this had anything to do with their answers?
I thought this was an interesting show but I thought the appearance of the people in the pictures should have been equal.
On the Tyra show, did anyone see the "Kids on Race" episode where they were shown pictures...?
So princesses are likely to be smiling (not white) and presidents are more likely to be in suits than sport coats (not white)... what about the guy they said was a terrorist or how the kids said whites make better bosses? They also picked blacks in sports (and without dads) over whites.
Their answers are consistent among most American children (and adults, sadly).

Yes I actually saw the show, it might be a possibility that the appearances they make do count.

I didn't see the show but I did hear about it. I understand what you mean, outside appearance can tell alot about a person. It gives us a positive or negative impression. It is possible that the study was done with identical pictures. Then it was redone on the show.
If not I would like to see the study done over. Each picture should be very similar if not identical.
